The Singleton 18 Years is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Dufftown distillery in Speyside, Scotland. Matured for 18 years, predominantly in American oak casks (with some influence of European oak), this expression is crafted to deepen the fruit-character of younger expressions and integrate oak maturation, giving a more complex and rounded flavour profile.

Tasting Notes:

Appearance: Deep golden-amber, with warm hues and a clear, polished presentation.
Aroma: Soft, inviting mix of stewed apples, baked fruit (apricot, pear), vanilla, toffee, cocoa beans, subtle oak spice.
Palate: Rich and creamy; flavors of toffee and dark chocolate, dried fruit, vanilla-honey, perhaps a note of mint or gentle spice, somewhat fruity undercurrent (rhubarb, stewed fruit).
Finish: Smooth, fairly long-lasting; a warm, slightly dry oak edge, gentle pepper or wood smoke spice lingering, with fruit lingering underneath.
ABV: 40%

Serving Suggestions: Best enjoyed neat in a whisky glass (Glencairn or tulip) at room temperature (18-20 °C). A few drops of water will open up its oak and spice notes. Pairs well with dark chocolates, roasted nuts, caramel desserts, or mature cheeses. Also suitable for sipping slowly after dinner.
