Cutty Sark is a blended Scotch whisky first created in 1923 by Berry Brothers & Rudd, now produced by La Martiniquaise in Scotland. It combines malt and grain whiskies—many from Speyside regions—and is matured in American oak casks. It’s known for being lighter in style than many Scotch blends: more floral and fresh, with an emphasis on approachability.

Appearance:
Pale gold; bright and clear with a light body.

Aroma:
Fresh citrus peel, vanilla, light hay or grass, with mild floral notes.

Palate:
Gentle and soft-mouthed; sweet vanilla, mild caramel, some fruit (pear, apple), light oak influence; the grain whisky base gives a smooth backbone.

Finish:
Clean, crisp, with lingering sweetness and a touch of spice; not long or heavy.

Serving Suggestions:
- Enjoy neat or on the rocks if you want to mellow out the edges.
- Works well in mixed drinks such as whisky & soda, a light highball, or citrus-forward whiskies.
- Garnish with lemon peel to highlight the citrus notes.
- Good companion to light foods: shellfish, grilled chicken, mild cheeses; also nice in casual settings.
